Photographing Fairy Dusters is new for me this year. In prior wildflower seasons I have passed over them, unable to create an artistic image. Maybe because they are more of a bush and I was trying to photograph the whole plant. This year, it has been all about macro images of wildflowers, no wide images.
This first image is soft, as were many of my images early in this wildflower season.
But then came the bold images. The below image reminded me of the 1920’s glamour, boas and powder puffs.
And below, this very busy bee was completely enveloped in the Fairy Duster collecting pollen!
